WHAT AND WHY THE "HOLY GHOST" What is the Holy Ghost? A spiritual partner of the Godhead, and had it not been for the Holy Spirit Jesus would have been and ordinary man. Luke 1:35 says the angel Gabriel revealed to Mary that the Holy Spirit of God would come upon her and the Power of God would overshadow her and she would be impregnated with the Holy Son of God. So we see that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit, which means He came into being because God needed a physical body to carry His love to mankind. Actually the Holy Spirit was given to Jesus to reach mankind with the love of God. When Jesus revealed the scriptures to the high priest it astounded the congregation and angered the learned because He was only twelve years old, and many of the priest had spent years studying the scriptures without knowing their was revelation knowledge. The reason Jesus could discern the scriptures so young was his ability to listen to the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit within, being empowered before birth with the Holy Spirit meant revealing Spiritual things was simple. The reason mankind is lacking the same power Jesus used is his ignorance of the Holy Spirit. Jesus clearly said the Holy Spirit would teach mankind into all trues. Lk. 12:12 Now contrary to what organized religious is proclaim- ing every man was given the Spirit of God before birth. Gen. 1:26-28 says God exclusively created mankind in His image and likeness. The reason God created mankind in His image is because He wanted to extend His love through us. That why human have a deep rooted desire to fellowship with their Creator. The spirit of God within men calls them back to Him. But because mankind is so involv-ed in this worldly realm many times he does not hear the gentle voice of love guiding him. This is why Jesus said unless we come as little children humble and peaceful we cannot enter the kingdom of God. Many have failed to enter the Kingdom because they were too busy trying to follow the crowd in hopes of pleasing mankind. This is where the problem has existed since the prophets began revealing God’s word to the people. Noah had a problem because he walked and talked with God and began following the voice within. People laughed at him and thought he was crazy, but Noah focus-ed on God, and saved mankind because he obeyed the Holy Ghost. Abraham was also laughed to scorn, by announcing he would have a son and become the father of many na-tions. Remember Abraham was over a hundred years old which meant Abraham could no longer rely on what his body and senses told him, but rather on the voice within. Moses is another example of someone listening to the voice within which is why he saved the nation of Israel. Moses was first trained within Egypt’s academic system, and needed forty years away from Egypt to hear the voice within and allow it to guide him. The same Holy Spirit within these men is within mankind today, but as most of our ancestors doubted and couldn't use the gifts of God, so are many today. Many people believe anyone saying anything about God rather than trust the voice within. We are suffering from a lack of knowledge that the Spirit of God has been given to us that we may fellowship with God continually. Honestly I have met few people interested in getting personal with God. Why? Because we have not been taught the truth about the Holy Spirit and why God gave it to mankind. So many people are serving God from tradition, superstition, and fear because of too much false information about God from teachers unaware of the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13 Jesus speaking says the heavenly Father gives the Holy Spirit to all that asks. Now this means that once a person comes to the understanding that there is a Holy Spirit, and desire to have fellowship with It, the Holy Spirit will be allowed to do the work It was ordained to do in mankind’s life. This does not mean that when we physically ask for the Holy Spirit we will receive it. (God cannot give us what He already gave us). Now this may contradict your teachings, but so be it, let the word of God be true and anything that contradicts it is a lie. The Holy Spirit in us will not make us accept God, It is not a dictator, but a guide, but once you accept God with your heart the Holy Spirit will be activated in your life. Sadly many come on earth and die without ever knowing they were endowed from birth with God’s Spirit, again wrong teachings. Using your child for instance wouldn’t you give him everything possible to make his life easier? Yes. Then how much more will God the Father give His children (mankind)? When you think about it with your heart you will see that you came to God because of the Spirit of God within you drawing you towards His love, not on your own effort. If mankind didn’t have the Spirit of God before coming on earth, we would have no chance of returning to God. God does not think as mankind thinks and always complete what He starts. God knew we needed His Spirit, so He breathed into our physical bodies and man became a living soul, a physical body containing the Spirit of God. Gen. 2:7. This is the reason Jesus walked the earth; to show mankind the way back into the Godly kingdom they were originally created in. Jesus was a perfect example of humanity being led by the Spirit of God that is why He was not tempted to go against God. When we read about His lifestyle, we see so much of His ministry was devoted to directing mankind towards the kingdom of God. Jesus understood how important it was for mankind to know he is filled with the Spirit of God and that God loves him. Two thousand years later it is equally important we know we have the Spirit of God because God is mankind’s Father. Only the Spirit of God can change a murderer into a priest, only the Spirit of God can be with us continually, though often we refuse to hear It’s voice. The Spirit of God does not depend on us to be holy enough to communicate with Him for He communicate with us continually, but mankind cannot hear Him unless holiness resides in their hearts. This is why God gave mankind the Holy Spirit, and this is the only way God communicate with us. If you donnot hear the Spirit then get quiet, turn away from worries and seek to be with your Father. Jesus and I know it to be true that if you seek God with your heart, you will hear Him. Remember that the Spirit of God within you is what caused you to read and seek the truth, and only those seeking will discover truth.
