TODAY'S BELIEVERS ARE MORE POWERFUL then Moses, Abraham, Elisha Most people, especially religious Christians would contend with me over this title, but I didn’t say it! It is Biblical. (Mat. 11:11) Jesus is speaking to the crowd said, John the Baptist was greater than all Prophets, such as, Elisha, Moses, and Abraham, but believers today are greater than John the Baptist. Jesus wants people to get a view of what they really have, and how much God loves them. No one could be depressed knowing God wanted them to be powerful. If we really believe the Bible why we still asking God to give us something He gave from creation. God was the One who created mankind in His image and gave him dominion of the earth and everything breathing. This happens in the beginning of the book. (Gen 1:26) God wanted us to know who we were from the very beginning, that way we could start off in power. Just think how powerful mankind would be if he understood whom he was from the beginning. We must understand that God made everything available to us, every rocket sent to the moon was possible only because God provided the resources and gave mankind the know how. How else could mankind take a leaf or root and produce life saving drugs? Again, mankind uses God’s resources and God-given mentality to better life. Looking at Moses we see how God used him greatly, He lead over six million people out of captivity, without maps, electricity, gas, or water. Moses was leading with the power God gave to all mankind. Remember Moses was an ordinary man, he did not look like Ule Brenner; and he was about eighty when he started missionary work. Moses was stronger than the average man, because he knew whom he was, and what purpose God had for him. Moses was the one to write Gen., so he couldn’t have attended Bible study, or prayer meeting. Yet, he was the leader of all Israel. Moses loved the Lord, therefore, he walked and talked with his Father. Moses could hear the Holy Spirit without a microphone. His love and respect for God kept him in tune to the Spirit’s leading. The reason too many Christians lack power is because they don’t know they have it. Instead of having a one on one relationship with God, they are going through a preacher. Instead of being lead and guided by the Spirit, they are attempting to control the Holy Spirit. People who don’t know power choose not to know it. God is not guilty of withholding His power from mankind. That is why God gave mankind the power in the beginning. God knew if mankind started off knowing Him, mankind would know himself, there would be no defeat. When mankind take God at His word, and believe God wants him to dominate, and have a life full of power, so we can help others, there will be no more suffering. Power is the first principal God gave mankind. To be powerless is a disgrace to God, and we should not be fooled into thinking we are being humble. True humble souls know their power. Why is it we are not performing greater acts of love than the old time saints.? When was the last time you parted water? Start with your bad tub. When was the last time you totally put all your trust in God? Had joy in your worse condition, knowing God would never leave you? When was the last time you thank God for waking you? Well the answers to these questions are very important. Here is what seperated great men of God from the norm. They knew how to praise God when the going got tuff. they were not overcome with doubt and unbelief. and when they got down it was onlly for a moment. Their heart was committed to the Father and they understood He would never leave them. We have amassed so much material goods that we have stopped seeing the real deal. Instead of sharing what God has provided for us, we feel we deserve to have everything for ourselves. So we continue to collect in hopes of one day having enough to share. Well the word of God tells us to share whatever we have. When we truely desire to give others, we will began releasing the greatness God placed in mankind. No man can ever be great without the desire to serve others. Notice that all of the work done by great men of the Bible was done to help others. So now you know why we are not doing greater works. Decide in your heart that you want to be a servant of God by serving man, and making others more important than yourself. Give without being ask or for show. This means we will have to fall in love with the Master, in order to be His servant, and no man can serve God without serving his brother.
