MARRIAGE OR MESS This section of our ministry is dedicated to all married couples and all that are planning to marry. Looking at the marriage of Adam and Eve, we discover the love and commitment between God’s first married couple. In fact Adam was so in love with Eve that he said a man would leave father and mother for a wife. He was so in love with Eve that she got him to step out of God’s plan. ( Eve never intended to hurt her husband or go against God’s word, she just didn’t know no better.). The Bible is very clear on certain principals about marriage. Such as (every man should have his own wife, and every wife their own husband) wives are suppose to be submissive. Submissive, now that is a word that needs clarifying. But if Bible principals were used in our marriages we wouldn’t have so many messes. This my friends is the purpose Marriage or Mess. We will use real people and show how having God in the center of their lives has kept love growing over the years. We will also use people to show how not having God as their center has caused them to live in a mess. By looking at the lives of others, we can avoid a lot of the same problems that attack marriages. Case number 1 . Mary knew something was not right in her marriage after about the third time she tried to make love with her husband. His erection seems to disappear every time she got close to the bed. She remembered reading, in the Bible, that her body was not her own, and his body was not his own, but a married couple was supposed to share their bedroom in undefiled pleasure. Yet, she slept on one side of the large, flat top, green and white, candy striped, mansion, while he slept on the other side. Through the whole marriage (mess) they had sex only one time. She couldn’t believe this was happening, yet day in and day out, she made flowers seven days a week, hoping every night, was the night, and before she knew it, three years had passed. "Just keep on praying for him and the Lord is going to touch him." Those old tired booty, bench warmers, in the church. " Girl he could be sleeping with men. Maybe he’s gay." "Count yo blessing, look at this house! Child I wouldn’t care if he never made love to me, I wouldn’t leave this house." The mother of Holiness in Jesus, dressed in religion and material treasures. Thank God He had someone to guide Mary on the right road. Her angel came just at the time she realized she did not have a normal marriage. It was the time Mary began breaking away from religious. The light came at a time when Mary decided to take her husband up on the offer to find someone else for sex. It was in summertime when birds and bees were all over flowers, Mary longed to be held by a man. She wanted to be touched, caressed, but as usual, fell asleep after satisfying herself. After all that was the Godly thing to do. A wife would never cheat on her husband. God forbids it. But, three years was too long. She was at the point of needing sex so bad, she started praying, or petitioning God, to please send her someone to fulfill her sexual needs. Mary’s new Christian friend kept telling her to pray to God for all her needs and wants. "God is not going to give you the right man until you learn to forgive. You must be standing in the place of blessing; you must have love in your heart. And move out like Abraham, trusting in God that is when you will see the power of love working." With that information and no insight Mary started stalking different clubs, looking for someone to help fulfill God’s plan in her life. One night she got lucky, or she thought she got lucky. A young man the same age as her son (she later found out), was her target. He looked good enough to eat, and she was hungry enough to devour him. She started pouring cokes into him and dancing up a sweat, in an effort to sober her young captive, before dragging him to her nest. Mary had so much lust ready to explode; it blinded her. Five minutes after the club closed she was pulling her clothes off. She couldn’t even remember the young man’s name, it didn’t matter. She was a married woman who had permission to enjoy sex with whomever she pleased. She thanked God for every nut burst, and promised to forgive her husband. At last, she could enjoyed the rewards for being faithful. Her life was complete, she had her husband for all the material goods she ever wanted and a young lover for all her sexual needs. And everyone was happy. They thought. Bertha, had no idea why all of a sudden Mary was happy and filled with joy. In fact Mary had more joy than Bertha. Bertha being religiously naive though it was all those prayers she had prayed over Mary, rebuking bad spirits that changed her lifestyle. So of course, Bertha sought of pat herself on the back for bringing one more lost soul to the Lord. For two and a half years Mary went with a boy the same age as her eighteen year old son. The lust was so good she wanted him everyday. So Shun changed military stations so they could be together every chance they got. They made love every chance they got, in every place they could. Hot passionate love without shame. She had permission from her husband, which meant she wasn´t sinning, but rather submissive to her husband. Almost three years after robbing the cradle and herself, Mary´s angel met her blessing. Bertha knew from the start there was something wrong, something evil about Shun, something she couldn´t quit figure out. "Child that young man got lust dripping off him like honey from the comb." From then on Bertha made it her business to visit Mary at least two or three times a week. She was fighting for Mary´s salvation, and was not about to lose to a young man offering nothing but lust. "I must tell you the truth. This boy is not part of God´s blessing! And I think you should leave him alone, even if your husband told you to sleep with him." For the first time since Mary´s relationship with Shun she was confronted with truth. Bertha made sure Mary understood God was not about giving blessings to satisfy her own personal sexual desires. Mary was shocked, but by now she was hooked on making love with her young lover. Mary began to pull away from Bertha, it was guilt, you know. As long as she had her husband´s blessing, she would keep sleeping with Shun. So for three years Mary ignored God and church, and pretended she was having a good time. Her and Shun saw each other everyday and were happy as could be. Mary never saw anything but lust in Shun, that’s why she didn´t know he was an alcoholic, until the police came looking for him. Talking to the police Mary found out Shun was not the nice person she thought he was. His record was criminal. He was driving a sporty BMW at Mary’s expense, but his driving license had been taken away the same week he received the car, almost three years earlier. All that time Shun pretended everything was fine, he was lying. But to hit someone with his car and leave them in the streets was unthinkable, to Mary. Now she had to leave Shun alone. Mary breathed a sigh of release when Shun was let out of jail and restricted to the barracks. She was happy Shun was let out , but under house arrest. This meant she did not have to try and find excuses for not being with him. But, Shun was not about to let house arrest stop him from being with the women of his dreams. So every night he bribed someone or paid someone not to reveal his secret. And every morning before dawn, he woke up and went back to the barracks. Now Mary was confused, she wanted Shun, but was afraid of him. So every time Shun came around Mary found herself having sex with him, but when her body was satisfied she wanted to be left alone. Mary found herself being pulled in two directions. After much thought Mary decided to return to church. Shun exploded in a fit of rage and attacked her. Mary swears it was the power of murmuring Jesus name that broke Shun’s strangle hold on her neck. Whatever it was, caused Mary to run into the arms of Bertha and religious more than ever. Church was the only place safe. Shun wanted nothing to do with those hypocrites. Going to church so regularly caused Mary to forget about her body and live under condemnation of adultery. Mary was so condemned that she would not even think about sex. Which was an ideal situation for her husband. He could leave all the work on Mary and not have to worry about sex. Mary was too busy trying to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Richard, Mary’s husband wished Mary had gotten baptized earlier, cause she was a much better wife, every since she went down into the water. Another year passed without sex. Mary had no idea that God was not into the mess she called a marriage. When she first read marriage was honorable and the bedroom undefiled,(Heb. 13:4) she realized that her marriage was different from what the Bible was talking about. This wisdom gave Mary a foundation to stand on. For the first time she realized what she had called a marriage was only a mess. Mary longed for a marriage with honors, for a chance to love and be loved. It took seven years for Mary to realized she was living in a mess. It took the love and understanding of her present husband to show her what God´s kind of love was all about. Mary stood against everything her mother and church had taught her, about marriage. After reading (Jn 3:2), where Jesus is telling the people that He wish above all that they prosper and be in health, she determined to be happy right here on earth. Once she discovered the joy and honor in God’s kind of marriage, she immediately applied for divorce. Both her X-husband and the church protested, the church was so determined to keep Mary in her mess, they asked to leave the church, or stay marriage. Not one of them tried to understand her, it simply was not acceptable. Mary finally moved out of her big loveless house, into a smaller apartment that was filled with little reminders of her new lover. Today, ten years after being married to the same man, she is a living example of God’s kind of marriage. Her husband showed her the true meaning of love. They are so happy that they are still on a honeymoon. These two lovebirds are a breath of fresh air to marriage. In fact Mary wanted to share her story so others would know that God sees marriage as honorable, and if she can be this happily married, so can anyone else.
