THE LAW KILLS, BUT THE TRUTH SET YOU FREE Over two thousand years have passed since Jesus walked this earth, to bring mankind the truth. What was the truth Jesus delivered to mankind? Why don’t mankind know the truth? And how long will we continue in dark-ness, not knowing God the Father, as Jesus knew Him? Remember Jesus only had problems with the religious people of His day. High priests, pastors, and deacons (all forces against the truth) supposedly holy men, choose to release a convicted murderer over Jesus. Yes, it was the organized church that plotted to kill the living word of God. This discovery led me to ask why. Why would scripture carrying, royally dressed, men of high position confessing the love of God, and quoting Mosaic scriptures kill God’s son? These same people met together everyday, with scriptures hanging from their garments, rolled in their hands, and stuck to their forehead killed the truth? Why couldn’t the priesthood see that Jesus came to give them love. Why didn't they know that Jesus was the promised deliverer? Because the unbelievers were deceived into thinking the letters and laws prescribed by Moses were holier than the son of God. They were organized and proud, and no one else would tell them how to serve God. So when Jesus came alone teaching without being taught, and healing with no medical background they could not receive it. Scriptures wrote by mankind The priesthood in Jesus day was totally controlled by the law of Moses. Ridiculous but the priesthood is still controlled by the law of Moses, and Old Testament scriptures are as powerful today, for controlling, as they were in Jesus day. Jesus warned the religious people about following the law and told them, the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. Few Christians knows the greatest commandments. Mat. 22:40, Love God with all your heart soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as you love yourself; simple, but powerful. Not only were these two commandments spoken by Jesus, but they were spoken to the priesthood. It was simple profound truth that caused the lawgivers to snare at the Master. The priesthood was built on the emotional and piety of the unlearned. People paid church taxes, whether they ate or not, and were so burdened down with religious laws they couldn’t breath. The law ruled the common man, and the common man, not knowing the truth thought he was following God by following law. But, the people were so burdened with serving law they forgot about serving in love. Then Jesus came alone teaching mankind the Father loves them, and wants mankind to accept that they are the children of God all. Which meant the people didn’t have to keep begging God, or paying taxes and penalty and penance. Jesus was rocking the foundation of the priesthood. They had to find a way of shutting Him up. The priesthood controlled the society with law and the pretense of being Select of God. Jesus made an open show of their falsehood. Whenever they came to Him with their laws Jesus filled with the truth put them to shame. The time when they came to Jesus with their Mosaic law, and ask Jesus what were the greatest commandments. This time they thought they had him for sure, there was no way Jesus could know all the laws of Moses, that He may choose the best. But, Jesus being filled with the love of God and guided by the Spirit of God quoted (Mat. 22:37-39) read and understand what Jesus is saying. The religious people had no idea what Jesus was saying that is why He told the ones who had ears to hear. No man can be dominated once he learns the truth of the kingdom of God, and the brotherhood of mankind. Those that are following law will be condemned by the law. Following law takes the fun out of serving God. Anyone serving God under law, is afraid of fellowshipping with God directly. They do not trust God and have no peace within. At night they are afraid to be alone and live their lives controlled by the fear of death. So we see serving God in uncertainty guarantees a life of hell. Now we need not go to large churches or join some religious group that caters to our emotions, God in not necessarily present in every organization formed in His name. Those that are seeking to know the truth will one day come into the light. This does not mean you should not go to church, but it does mean that no matter where you go you will be guided, if your heart is right. Remember if you are lacking joy and boldness it is because you are serving God under law and not love. Go back to your secret place within your heart and hear the still small voice. Do not leave this place until you know you are fellowshipping in spirit and truth. Get started today by meditating on the two greatest commandments and you will be on your way. This is a journey that you can only take in spirit and truth. That is why the word of God says to seek, and you will find. It is a guarantee that all who comes desiring to be feed will be filled.
