HEALING THROUGH FAITH How many people do you know that have been healed through faith? Not many. Why? Because most people don’t attempt to believe God until a crisis situation. Simply put you can’t use what you don’t understand. So let us start with the foundation of faith in hopes you will have a clear understanding before the need arises to test your faith. Before reading on it is very important to understand that God is not the cause of your problems. Jesus said, and life proves that in life we will have many troubles, but God is faithful and will not abandon us. Faith is the assurance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. (Heb.11:1) This really means that when you need something you start expecting to receive it, and give thanks for having it before it physically manifests itself. This was the sort of faith that Abraham used, believing God could do whatever he said. Abraham stood against many people to hold onto his faith. He even resisted his own body, which daily attempt-ed to remind him of his age. Just think how you would respond to someone nearly a hundred claiming he would impregnate someone, well that is exactly what happened to Abraham. Abraham stood in faith trusting God was big enough to fulfill His promises. There are several accounts of Abraham’s failings, that we may know it was not Abraham’s perfection, but belief that made the difference in his life. When Abraham discovered the Father loved him and wanted only good things for His children he became as brave as a lion, and nothing could stop him. Abraham fought the (good fight of faith) whenever his mind began to look at his physical condition, or someone challenged his belief. No matter how old he was or what people said he held to the faith within, allowing the Spirit to guide him. Mat. 17:20 says if you have faith as a mustard seed you can ask whatever you please and it will be given unto you. Many people have not understood the truth of this statement, they believe if they have faith the size of a mustard seed they will be able to move mountains so they used a small about of faith which is really no faith to try to get God to move the mountain for them. But, if we notice Jesus healing’s we see that often He reminded the people that it was their own faith which healed them. Faith in what? In Mat. 6:25-34 were Jesus is teaching His disciples how to trust God will take care of them and stop worrying. The only way we can access the peace of God and abundant life is to know God as a loving Father who wishes above all that we stay healthy and abound in life, Jn. 10:10. Faith in knowing God is our Father and will never leave us, plus wants us to stay healthy and have an abundant life will put to rest any doubt. If you talk about this type of faith, but do not use it in your life you are being defeated. True faith has results. Jas. 2:26 Mat. 9:22 Jesus tells the woman who had suffered bleeding for twelve years that her simple touch of His garment proved she had faith, and it was faith that healed her. There was a great multitude of people surrounding Jesus but only one person with the simple childlike faith of total reliance upon their father. This type of faith comes only from a heart filled with the love of God; only those who love God come to receive their blessings. Remember loving God with all your being is the first step of your faith walk. It takes a loving heart to believe in a God unseen, and be humble enough to receive the bless-ings that are constantly being poured out upon mankind. Every person in the crowd could have been healed, but amazingly there was only one person with enough faith to override pride, which is the reason more people weren’t healed 1 Cor. 13:2 teaches that faith works only by love. Now it uses examples of someone having enough power to remove mountains or giving their body to be burned without love is useless. Only acts of love matters to the Father and cause those possessing it to work towards the betterment of mankind. Love is the key to the kingdom of God and faith is one of its treasure. Anyone without the key cannot enter the kingdom. The great book of Heb. 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. Since God is Spirit, we can only communicate with Him through spirit which brings us to faith for we need faith to believe in a God we cannot see. Hence, if you don’t have the above faith you cannot communicate with Him, so how can you please Him? Now this does not mean that God is not pleased with you, but your lack of communicating with Him is the reason you do not know that He is pleased with you. Suppose I was your friend and I told you to ask me for help if you needed it, given that I am financially rich, but because you have not seen me in a long time, you might accept a foreclosure on your house before asking me. This is exactly what happens when it comes to asking God for something, and believing you will receive it. Pride gets in our way and instead of thanking God for provisions we close our mouths and heart and endure. Well, thank God, He is faithful and whenever we turn to Him we will find that He is there. God blesses mankind from Birth to eternity, but mankind not knowing he is blessed often forfeit his blessings. Now we understand Heb. 11:6 means if we have no faith we will never know Gods is pleased with us, not God is displeased with us for God loves us above and beyond ourselves. In healing we find many perish while trying to believe God, but you will never find God through trying to find Him. God is not lost He is in the center of every living soul, including a fly, but mankind being taught to search for God, under the burden of sin, accounts for millions perishing from the lack of knowledge of God the Father, though they attended a church all their lives, they have never learned to have childlike faith in God the Father that everything is will be find. Gifts we receive from God comes through faith before appearing physically, and always are for the betterment of mankind. Many could be healed instead of dying if they only knew God was with them, fear would have no chance and the hospitals would beg for patient. This is gods plan for mankind. So now we see that without faith we cannot receive the good things of God for one must first believe in God the Father, as Jesus believed. Knowing God is to love Him, and a heart that loves God is pleasing to Him because a loving heart always gives thanks to the Father, and cares for mankind. Jesus said you will know my followers by the love they have for one another. Remember faith works by love, so if you are having a problem receiving your blessings, go back and fall in love with the Father, and believe He loves you, it will change your life, and you will be on the road of faith that David travelled to defeat Goliath.
